We're consolidating the Kanzi experience into a single destination: Kanzi Portal (portal.kanzi.com), live today. Going forward, both Kanzi Hub is stepping back in favor of Portal, which brings together everything you need to get, learn, and manage Kanzi in one place.
The dates below aren't about Portal's launch — Portal is already live and available to all Kanzi users.
What's moving
Everything currently split across Hub is consolidating into Kanzi Portal:
- Software access — Kanzi Studio versions, platform packages, plugins, and downloads
- Community Forum — post questions and collaborate with other Kanzi users
- Announcements, Updates & News — service announcements and product news
- Documentation & Learning Center — guides, tutorials, and reference material
- Sample projects & templates — a browsable library to jump-start your work
- Account & license management — manage your Kanzi account, and org admins can manage their organization's licenses directly
Migration timeline
This transition is rolling out in phases, tied to Kanzi version support in Portal:
- July 2026 — Kanzi Portal reaches support for Kanzi 3.9 and Kanzi 4.1.0 content. Users on these versions are recommended to migrate to portal.kanzi.com now.
- August 31, 2026 — Kanzi Portal adds support for Kanzi 3.6, achieving full content parity with Kanzi Hub. Users on Kanzi 3.6 are recommended to migrate to portal.kanzi.com by this date.
- September 30, 2026 — Kanzi Hub rolls out an update that removes its software-access functionality. From this date forward, all software-access needs are handled through portal.kanzi.com.
Why we're doing this
As part of an internal review of the customer journey, we identified points of friction across the Kanzi experience. In response, we made Kanzi Portal the singular place for Kanzi content — bringing software access, announcements, documentation, learning resources, licensing, and community together in one destination.
A concrete example: organizations previously managed licenses through individual requests to sales. Now, org admins can manage their organization's licenses directly in Portal — streamlining what used to be a scattered process into one place, handled by one admin. This wasn't possible in Hub.
This consolidation reduces points of frustration for customers and makes it easier to get what you need, without needing to know which site — or which app — it happens to live on.
What happens to Kanzi Hub
Hub isn't disappearing overnight, and its local project features aren't going away — but its role is changing. Where Hub used to be a required part of the Kanzi experience, it's becoming a local-focused companion. By September 30, 2026, Hub's software-access functionality is removed, and everything web-connected — downloads, documentation, licensing, team management, sample content, and news — lives in Portal instead, which offers full feature parity with today's Hub, plus more.
What's new in Hub:
- No login required — Hub works locally without signing in
- Automatic discovery of your local Kanzi projects
- Favorite projects filtering, so your most-used work stays close at hand
- Default sorting by last modified, so recent work surfaces first
- A more focused UI, scoped to finding your local projects
Consolidating web-connected functionality into Portal also reduces the cybersecurity surface area of the tools on your machine, and avoids maintaining the same functionality twice in two products.
For users who want an extra layer of convenience, Portal also offers an optional feature called Kanzi Bridge, which can handle plugin/template installs and local project discovery on your behalf. It's entirely optional — Hub and Portal work fully without it.
